Farrah and I woke up this morning to the sound of rain pounding on the roof and low hanging clouds clinging to the hills around us. We quickly took care of our morning responsibilities and started towards town in the van. It’s been so long since I’ve seen substantial rain that it feels new and strange and refreshing and beautiful all wrapped into one sense tingling experience. Looking out the windows of the cozy coffee shop I see that the mountains are blanketed in the first snow of the season. Looks like it’s changing to winter fast.
Speaking of winter, Farrah and I have decided to travel to Taos, New Mexico to spend our winter instead of our original plan to stay in Colorado. I’ve already secured myself a job at Taos Ski Valley Resort for the winter which will afford me a bit of extra spending money and a free ski pass for the season. It’s been an exciting turn of events and the future has limitless opportunities. Taos is a small town in the mountains of northern New Mexico. It is a quick drive to the ski resort and it appears that there are a lot of nice and affordable options for renting an apartment or house for the winter. Farrah will be focusing on her work and teachings while also working very part time at the ski resort (for the free $1000 season pass!). I am planning on taking on some college courses online as well.
For now there’s still a lot to figure out.
Miss everyone a ton!
I’ll post a few pictures soon. I admit I’ve been slacking a bit on the blogging and photography. I’ve been staying busy planning for the future but I guess I have a bit of catching up to do.
